Mission Style

This style of building and decor is often referred to as the Craftsman style (or Mission, Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts…whatever you prefer).  Frank Llyod Wright is probably one of the most famous architects who used the Arts and Crafts ethic to create his popular architectural style.  The Arts and Crafts style is characterized by bold, square styling, use of metals, stained glass, and rougher hewn woods.  The fireplace was the central aspect of an Arts and Crafts home and was treated as such.  Bungalows are the traditional type Arts and Crafts homes.
